We only sell historic instruments and bows from deceased makers. This is our Director’s background and expertise. We are privileged to handle and offer some of the world’s finest instruments, including the great works of Antonius Stradivari, Joseph Guarrneri del Gesu, Nicolo Amati and Giovanni Battista Guadagnini along with a host of others. We have a particular interest in instruments made between 1780-1850 across Europe, a period often overlooked and little focussed on in violin making, but encompassing a great musical and cultural shift following the French revolution.
We handle the sale of such instruments privately but welcome enquiries and are happy to offer advice if a specific option is not directly available. Below is a selection of our public sales and again, please let us know if you have a particular maker in mind.
